Maes wants to leave his war-torn home world far behind, but the closer he comes to escaping Ogzira, the more ensnared he becomes. With everyone fighting for control of what’s left of their broken civilization, tensions rise to fever pitch, as unwanted eyes fall on his connection to coveted old world knowledge. As he and his companions are backed against a wall, some bonds solidify, and some begin to fray.
